چکیده
The study of above-ground biomass (AGB) is important for monitoring the dynamics carbon cycle in forest ecosystems. emergence remote sensing has made it possible to analyze vegetation using land surface temperature (LST), Vegetation Temperature Condition Index (VTCI) and evapotranspiration (ET) information. However, relatively few studies have evaluated ability these variables estimate AGB temperate forests. aim present was evaluate relationship LST, VTCI ET with forests Durango, Mexico, regarding each season year develop a estimation model as predictors VCTI ET, together topographic, reflectance Gray-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) texture variables. A semi-parametric generated linear non-linear responses predictive generalized (GAM). results show that best were longitude, latitude, spring elevation VTCI, NDVI (Normalized Difference Index), slope GLCM mean (R2 = 0.61; RMSE 28.33 Mgha−1). developed GAM an independent dataset 0.58; 31.21 Mgha−1), suggesting potential this modeling approach predict analyzed

Determine the most suitable Allometric equations for Estimating Above-ground Biomass of the Juniperus excelsa
Today, modeling and determination of allometric equations of forest trees, especially Junipers trees, are very important for determination of biological status and carbon storage capacity of forest species. The aim of this study was to determine the most suitable allometric equations for estimating the biomass of leaf, sub branch, main branch, trunk, and biomass of total Juniperus excelsa tr...
متن کاملGeospatial Estimation of above Ground Forest Biomass in the Sierra Madre Occidental in the State of Durango, Mexico
Combined use of new geospatial techniques and non-parametric multivariate statistical methods enables monitoring and quantification of the biomass of large areas of forest ecosystems with acceptable reliability. The main objective of the present study was to estimate the aboveground forest biomass (AGB) in the Sierra Madre Occidental (SMO) in the state of Durango, Mexico, using the M5 model tre...
متن کاملAbove-ground biomass and structure of 260 African tropical forests
We report above-ground biomass (AGB), basal area, stem density and wood mass density estimates from 260 sample plots (mean size: 1.2 ha) in intact closed-canopy tropical forests across 12 African countries. Mean AGB is 395.7 Mg dry mass ha⁻¹ (95% CI: 14.3), substantially higher than Amazonian values, with the Congo Basin and contiguous forest region attaining AGB values (429 Mg ha⁻¹) similar to...
متن کاملEstimating spatially distributed monthly evapotranspiration rates by linear transformations of MODIS daytime land surface temperature data
Under simplifying conditions catchment-scale vapor pressure at the drying land surface can be calculated as a function of its watershed-representative temperature () by the wet-surface equation (WSE, similar to the wet-bulb equation in meteorology for calculating the dry-bulb thermometer vapor pressure) of the Complementary Relationship of evaporation. The corresponding watershed ET rate, <...
متن کاملEstimating Stand Volume and Above-Ground Biomass of Urban Forests Using LiDAR
Assessing forest stand conditions in urban and peri-urban areas is essential to support ecosystem service planning and management, as most of the ecosystem services provided are a consequence of forest stand characteristics. However, collecting data for assessing forest stand conditions is time consuming and labor intensive. A plausible approach for addressing this issue is to establish a relat...
